All puppies of the O-litter have moved out. We found lovely homes for them.

Time to say "farewell" to our puppies is getting closer and closer.

Next week the breed warden will check the litter and then the first puppies will leave for their new homes. Zelda and her daughter Heather (Okka vom Belauer See) will be the first to leave.

Today was also the time to take the "final photograph" of the puppies, all of them together nicely sitting on a bench.

Well, I honestly wonder how other breeders manage to take those nice photos of their litters? Puppies sitting very relaxed on a sofa, a garden bench, in a basket which seems to perfectly fit the puppies or all of the puppies sitting on a wall in the garden with beautiful flowers in the background!

Maybe the others dope their puppies? At least we are not really able to have those beautiful "puppy arrangements"...

Today we started with a broken garden bench. After we had some puppies sitting on the bench, she almost broke into pieces. Okay, it wasn't certainly the most expensive model!

In the end we found another solution and had them sit on three EURO-Palettes.

It always seems that there are not enough hands to keep them sitting. One is always trying to jump of the intended photograph.

Well, in the end we managed to get at least one shot, which seems not too bad...

Yesterday the puppies have turned five weeks old. A good age to move out to the dog house. Now the puppies have a lot more space to play and run around.

There were also quite a few people visiting. A lot of new impressions for the puppies. They have done very well.

When there are puppies it is also a lot of fun for the other dogs. They love to spectate at the fence - "puppy cinema"!

Today Alice got one of the best spots. It is not that long time ago that she has been at the other side of the fence. She and her sister are nine months old now.

Today we started a bit to stack the puppies. In two weeks time there will be the big photo session. And we hope it works better this time! Here are just a few results from today.

The photos show bitch number 1 on the left side and male number 3 to the right.

After such an exciting weekend all deserve a little bit of rest....

Some have been waiting already that I will introduce the names of the puppies of this litter.

As the application for registration has gone already to the Stud Book Office the names are given already:

The names of the males are Okke, Oscar, Oswald and Otto. The girls names are Oda, Okka and Ottilie. This time we given again rather old german names.

The two following short videos show the puppies four days apart. How fast they are developing!

Time flies as always with a litter in the house.

The puppies are two weeks old and they start opening their eyes.

Here are a few photos I don't want to hold back, although they are already a few days old. All photos copyright Ulf F. Baumann.

It is also time to introduce the single puppies, as I always does. This time I took the photos a little later. What a difference a few days make.

It has been really difficult to keep the little ones on the sheet. They started to move really fast.

Male number 1 is black and white. He weight 390 gramm.

He was followed by his black and white brother only 24 minutes later. He had a weight of 421 gramm. Hi special identification mark is a small white spot on his hind right thigh. With a little bit of phantasy it looks like a heart.

The third puppy born was a long awaited bitch puppy in liver/white. She weighed 367 gramm and has a white line in her neck.

The Co-owner of Zelda will keep a bitch, so we were really glad when this bitch was born.

The fourth puppy born was again a boy. He is liver and white and had 371 gramm. His markings reminds me a bit of his dad.

"It's a girl, it's a girl!"

We were thrilled when we got another girl, also liver and white. Her weight was 346 gramm.

Zelda didn't disappoint us with her 6th puppy. Another girl came into this world! She had a birth weight of 363 gramm.

After a break we had another surprise! Zelda gave birth to another puppy, a liver/white and tan boy who weighed 412 gramm.

The Vet had seen only 5 puppies! What a nice surprise!

The first few days have been great. The puppies are gaining weight and Zelda is doing a very good job.

Meanwhile she needed to drop some more hair. The rest is put into little tails with colorful ribbons. She looks like a cute girl.

Zelda is co-owned and normaly she doesn't live here. It really works out very well with her. There isn't making any fuzz and it is like she would live all the time here. Well, once in a while she is visiting and she was born here. During the birth her owners were present and they supported her a bit beforehand and after the birth. Now she is alone with us and everything is fine. She behaves like any other bitch of us.

Following there are a few photos and a short video (Copyrights Ulf F. Baumann).

04.-12.03.2018

We have been to North Yorkshire! "Jolanthe vom Belauer See", aka Zelda, has been mated at Kennel "Calvdale" in North Yorkshire.

Father of the litter is "Calvdale Keelman". We hope for puppies around May 7th, 2018.

Following a few informations about the potential litter.

I met "Calvdale Keelman", aka Keel,  1 1/2 years ago at  Kennel "Calvdale" for the first time, when I have been there to get the mother of Zelda "Desperados Charlotta At Belauer See" mated.

I have been very pleased about Keel. He is a male of moderate size, excellent bone, deep chest and a great forechest. On top he has a very nice temperament. Keel has a hip score of 4/4, eyes clear inkl. Gonio, FU and Cord 1 PRA derived.

Our L-litter (Calvdale Night Court x Desperados Charlotta At Belauer See) are half siblings of Keel. They have the same father.

The L-litter is now a bit over a year. They have developed really well. They have a very high will to please and show great performance in the field and with dog sports. Three of the four puppies are owned by hunters.

With the good outcome of our L-litter I expect of this litters puppies who will be potential show dogs and will have good working abiltiy.

You can read a lot about Zelda and her successes at Shows, Dummy Trials and Rally Obedience Trials under News and at her own page "Jolanthe vom Belauer See". On her page you will also find information about her health status.
