What happened to the puppies of Dorothy's first litter in the States?

Well, the girl wasn't so good, that I imported her. The boy stayed in co-ownership of Nichole Dooley-Bunch.

This weekend he won his first major at the Fox River Speciality. His name is now Charlie "SandsCape Belauer See Golden Ticket".

Today our puppies are 5 weeks old. I received a new video this morning, showing Dorothy nursing her two monsters with a lot of patience.

The video of Dorothy with her daughter  is three days older. They are growing so fast.

Both puppies are spoken for. The boy will stay in co-ownership with Kennel "SandsCape" and move to a great Show home nearby. I have been already in touch with his future owner via Facebook.

The girl will hopefully move to us here at Kennel "vom Belauer See".

Our Munchkins are now four weeks old.

Both experience quite a bit in their young lives as they are growing up inbetween family life with two toddlers, who are in love with the puppies. You can't get any better socialization!

Unfortunately the second girl didn't make it. We needed to let her go.

Last Saturday the puppies were two weeks old. Look at those chunky puppies! I really love them.

The girl is even bigger than the boy.

Dorothy is doing a very good job being a Mum.

Unfortunately one of the bitches is not too well. It is not clear at the moment, if she will make it.

The puppies are almost two weeks old and opened their eyes.

Beginning of February I traveled with my Field Spaniel bitch Dorothy "SandsCape Golden Girl At Belauer See" to the U.S.A.

Reason was the start of an american-german breeding project together with the breeder of Dorothy, Nichole Dooley-Bunch, Kennel "SandsCape".

Our plan is, that Dorothy will have two litters in the U.S. from different Sires. I will bring back puppies to Germany, which will hopefully give be a broader foundation for my breeding of Field Spaniels in Europe.

I am very glad for this great opportunity and appreciate the effort and the work this will take Nichole to make this happen!

Dorothy has been mated at Easter and we are looking forward to puppies around June 13th..

Following a few more photos of the Sire, who is called Chance. Thank you Sally (Sarah Stebbins) for letting me using those photos.

It is very obvious looking at the photos, how great this boy has developed over the years. What a difference between the young Chance and the mature dog.

Who would like to see the Sire in action at Westminster Kennel Club Show 2020can have a look at this video of the breed judging. You will find it under my report about the journey to the Westminster Kennel Club Show here Reisebericht zur Westminster Kennel Club Show 2020 . The video is the original, my report unfortunately only in German. But enjoy anyway!

Chance is in the Line up the one with number 15 (5th from left). You can watch him in action at minute 6.05 of the video.
