This year it was time to attend Crufts again and show one of my home bred Field Spaniels “Noble Alice vom Belauer See”.

Under honorable judge Mrs. Jayne Bennett (Jesham), UK, Alice came 3rd in a very strong Open Class. I am very proud, that her quality has been recognized and we got a placement. Not easy at Crufts.

Overall the trip has been very nice. Meeting already on the ferry with my friends Eva-Marie Bergstrand, her husband Clas and Sanna, we spent the days with shopping at Antique Stores, Garden Centers, visting a Café for tea time and the nice dinners in the evening, catching up on all kinds of topics.

Eva showed the litter brother Otis and litter sister Lily of my own English Springer boy Curtis, who is bred by Eva. It has been really nice to watch the two siblings in and out of the ring. You can see the family type!

The weather has been a big surprise! Winter came back to England and we got quite a bit of snow. Our Hotel was a converted old Abbey, beautifully surrounded by a huge park and estate. The perfect location for visiting Crufts.

I am also very happy about the offspring of my co-owned “Prince Arthur vom Belauer See At Nadavin” (McGregor), who did really well at Crufts.

There were altogether 6 sons and daughters of him from several litters, all bred by Jill & Charles Holgate, Kennel Nadavin. The Reserve Dog CC and the Reserve Bitch CC were taken by offspring of McGregor. The other four were all placed in their classes as well, mainly with 1st and 2nd places. One came 4th. I think, these are great results also for his progeny. Congratulations to the breeders!

Last year I have not written a lot on this website. I just had not the time for it!

We bought in Spring 2022 a house in Denmark and moved there during the summer. The house is on the island Als between Sønderborg and Nordborg in Hjortspring, which means "buck jump".

The chapter of Belau is now closing very soon. We hope, that the new owners will be as happy as we have been in Belau.

The first steps in "Hjortspring" have been made. We have adjusted a little. But there is still a lot to do in house and garden. It will take a while until everything is the way we intend to have it. Well, maybe I will report a little here...

The transfer of the Kennel from Germany to the Dansk Kennel Klub was no problem at all. The staff at the Dansk Kennel Klub is very friendly and helpful. I have registered already the first litter last year with DKK.

We will see, what this year will bring. I hope, that I will be able to visit a few Shows, starting with Crufts in March, which is very soon. I am very much looking forward to my trip to England!
