We have waited very long for our N-litter! There were put major obstacles into our path, but we have been very successful in rolling them to the side!!
But we had to wait until Vicky gave birth to two girls. Right from the beginning it was clear, that one of the girls has to stay in our Kennel. Not necessarily living with us, a co-ownership would have been okay. But I certainly wanted to continue with one of them. From the potential puppy buyers nobody seemed suitable for a co-ownership. Most of them were too far away and from the others there was nobody we could imagine a project "Co-ownership". Well, that meant in the end that one will stay - Alice!
So far I am very pleased with her development. In the near future she will give her debut at a Show.
Albert, what is the pet name of the Sire, had so far a very pleasing show career.
Albert has a very friendly and open character. That is something not to be underestimated in this breed.
You will find more information on Albert if you click on his name.
The breeding of Albert x Vicky has an Inbreeding Coefficient of 0,00. Over five generations there is no loss of ancestors! Alice has from 62 dogs in her pedigree over 5 generations 62 different dogs. Not a single one is doubled! You can hardly find this in a rare breed like Field Spaniels with such a small gene pool.
Unfortunately the Jagdspaniel-Klub e.V. issues now very big and unhandy pedigrees with four pages. The pedigree includes information you will find nowadays in all good Data Bases like the "Fleckenbase". In this Data Base there are meanwhile more than 7300 Field Spaniels registered. To whom it may concern, I have prepared a downloadable PDF-file of the pedigree of Alice. That seemed to be better than publishing here four photos of the pedigree!
